21. Once issued, is a patent a done deal?In the vast majority of cases the answer is yes. However, in a very few instances the validity of an issued patent is challenged in the courts and the patent is subsequently found to be invalid. As this is an exceedingly expensive process, it most frequently occurs in disagreements between large corporations.
